Pressure Detection Method for Stator Slot Wedge Loosening of Large Generator
Regarding the issue of loosening of stator slot wedges fixed by corrugated plates in generators, the current common detection methods rely too much on the experience of detection personnel and electronic equipment, which brings errors in personnel operation to the detection results. For this reason, this paper proposes the pressure detection method for slot wedge loosening. The compression test was completed using an electronic universal testing machine on a specimen composed of two corrugated plates superimposed. The obtained load displacement curve was converted into a pressure displacement curve through hydraulic cylinder area conversion, and the critical value for judging the tightness of slot wedge was obtained through the curve. Finally,it is concluded that the measured slot wedge is pressurized to 16 MPa,when the radial movement value of the slot wedge is 0.01~1.00 mm,it is qualified, and the corrugated plate is in a compressed state. If the radial displacement of the slot wedge is greater than 1.00 mm,it is unqualified, there is a gap between the corrugated plate and the slot wedge or the conductor rod in this case.A simulation body of the slot wedge structure of the corrugated plate was then established, and the corrugated plate groove-wedge structure under different compression conditions was verified by tapping method, simulation and the slot wedge tightness detector developed by IRIS Power company.Different methods are used to verify the results, and the obtained consistency is high, which proves the applicability and accuracy of the method to detect the tightness of the slot wedge.
