In November 1960,Shanghai held the"Yan'an Times Revolutionary Life Exhibition".The content,logic and related activities of the exhibition mobilized the historical memory resources of Yan'an and stimulated the emotions of visitors.It echoed the economic and social life of the 1960s.The theme of revolution and life is not only a reinterpretation of the theme of the"Yan'an era"in the 1940s,but also a reflection of the CCP's attempt to bridge the gap between material production,consumption,and revolutionary discourse in the planned economy.Therefore,the holding of the exhibition is not only an attempt to overcome its economic dilemma,but also a historical practice of using visual forms to comb revolutionary traditions,launch ideological and political education,and resolve the tension between revolutionary ethics and daily life.
