Comparison between Two Common Precursors Derived Polymer/Carbon-based Microspheres Materials
Due to their unique structure, excellent physicochemical properties, and broad application prospects,polymer/carbon-based microspheres materials have nowadays become one of the hot fields in the research and development of nanomaterials. Two common precursors,resorcinol-formaldehyde and dopamine, have recently been developed to synthesize polymer/carbon-based microspheres relatively easily in the laboratory.Their different compositions, chemical structures and polymerization mechanisms of these two precursors were systematically compared.Furthermore, focusing on synthesis and application, the opportunities and challenges in this field are discussed.
