Study on the Application of Ethyl Acetate in Refining White Birch Wood Vinegar
Using white birch wood vinegar as a raw material,a method of static filtration ethyl acetate extraction rotary membrane evaporation was used to refine it.The active components were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)and their effects on the germination of alfalfa(Medicago sativa)seeds were studied.GC-MS analysis identified 71 volatile components, mainly ketones, phenols, organic acids, and other substances, among which the relatively high content of compounds is phenyl carbamate(9.23%)γ-sitosterol(7.46%),3-methyl-phenol(6.10%),guaiacol(5.09%),etc;The results of seed germination experiments with refined white birch wood vinegar diluted at 100,500,1000,1500,and 2000 times showed that refined white birch wood vinegar diluted at different times had a significant effect on the germination of alfalfa seeds. When diluted at 1000 times, the effect was the strongest, with the highest germination rate of 92.00%,which was 30.67%higher than the control group, with a significant difference(P<0.05).
