Design and Innovation of Comprehensive Experiment of College Chemistry Based on Luminescent Materials:Taking the Synthesis of Schiff Base Platinum Complex as an Example
The research and development of molecular luminescent materials is one of the most promising research directions in materials chemistry.Introducing synthesis, purification and property characterization of luminescent complexes into comprehensive chemistry experiments can promote the integration of undergraduate teaching program and cutting-edge research directions, thereby enriching the content of experimental teaching. With the aim of combining basic chemical principles and experimental teaching, the experiment described herein selects a phosphorescent tetradentate schiff base platinum complex Pt-red as the target molecule, which conducts students to understand the key role of synthetic chemistry in the construction of molecular functional materials. Also,in this experiment, students used nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and UV-Visible absorption and photoluminance spectroscopy to study the properties of the target molecule. This experiment can realize the objectives of cultivating students'systematic thinking and innovative ability, which are the prerequisite for scientific research.
