Comparison and Selection of Advanced Treatment Processes for Cyanide Containing Wastewater from Gold Hydrometallurgy
Four treatment processes, namely Na2SO3/air method,Na2S2O5/air method,H2O2 oxidation method, and NaClO oxidation method, were used for deep purification of cyanide containing wastewater from a gold smelting company's smelting plant. The optimal process parameters for the Na2SO3/air method treatment were determined through experiments as follows:reaction pH=9,reaction time 25 minutes, and Na2SO3 dosage 0.1 g/L;The optimal process parameters for the Na2S2O5/air method treatment are:reaction pH=10,reaction time 30 minutes, and Na2S2O5 dosage 0.1 g/L;H2O2 oxidation method treatment, with a dosage of 0.15 g/L H2O2 agent; The NaClO oxidation method is used for treatment, with a NaClO reagent dosage of 0.2 g/L.By comparing and analyzing the costs, advantages, and disadvantages of the four treatment processes mentioned above, the optimal treatment process was determined. The study provides technical support for the advanced treatment of cyanide containing wastewater.
