The Persistent Organic Pollutants of Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffins(SCCPs)Environmental Photocatalysis Study
As one of the persistent organic pollutants, short chain chlorinated paraffins(SCCPs)have aroused more and more attention in recent year.Because of the bio-accumulation and bio-toxic effect,Industrial wastewater discharge with high SCCPs concentration pose potential threat to the ecological environment. However,SCCPs environmental chemical behavior still lack of related studies so far, especially for the studies of SCCPs photocatalytic degradation process in the natural environment. In the present study, the domestic SCCPs emissions and photocatalytic degradation research status were analyzed.Simultaneously, through experimental simulation,SCCPs dechlorination behaviour in the iron oxide/oxalic acid photocatalytic system was investigated. The trial found that four kinds of iron oxides all showed degradation ability of SCCPs.The photocatalytic system with α-Fe2O3 have the maximum degradation rate up to 79.9%after 60 min uv irradiation. The rank of SCCPs degradation performance was α-Fe2O3>α-FeOOH>γ-Fe2O3>γ-FeOOH.
