Forecasting the Effect of Volatile Oil of Ephedra sinica on Bronchial Asthma Based on GC-MS Technology and Network Pharmacology
This study aimed to investigate the chemical profiling and content changes of volatile oil from different producing areas of Ephedra sinica Stapf and to explore the underlying mechanism of volatile oil from E.sinica intervening in bronchial asthma combined with network pharmacology.Thirteen, six, and six components were identified from the volatile oils of E.sinica from Jilin,Inner Mongolia, and Sichuan, respectively.A total of 95 intersection targets were obtained.PPI analysis screened out top 20 core targets.A total of 1377 functional items were obtained by GO analysis, and 151 related pathways were obtained by KEGG enrichment analysis. The core components such as 1-phenyl-1,2-propanedione,4-methoxystyrene,and 2,7-dimethyl-2,6-octadiene were obtained by'component-intersection target'network analysis, which may be the potential active components for the treatment of bronchial asthma. This study provides a important contribution for further exploring the potential mechanism of the volatile oil of E.sinica in the treatment of bronchial asthma.
