Study on Factors of Synthesis of Ultra-high Nickel Ternary Precursor with High Sphericity
The effects of different stirring frequencies and different solid content on the synthesis of ternary precursor were discussed.By decreasing the stirring frequency step by step and regulating solid content of reaction slurry during the co-precipitation reaction,a ternary precursor Ni0.95Co0.04Mn0.01(OH)2 with ultra-high nickel content, high sphericity, high tap density and moderate particle size distribution was prepared. The results show that starting at 38 Hz,and then reducing the stirring frequency to 20 Hz by lowering the speed of 3 Hz every 12 hours, and control the solid content to 300 g/L,which can not only ensure high sphericity and high tap density, reduce ball adhesion, but also avoid crack and broken ball in the precursor, and prepare ternary precursor with high sphericity and uniform distribution.
