Research Progress in Biological Analysis Methods for Oligonucleotide Drugs
Oligonucleotide drugs are DNA or RNA with different functional chemical modifications, mainly exerting therapeutic effects at the gene level. So far,16 oligonucleotide drugs have been approved for clinical treatment, which has led to an increasing interest in the biological analysis of oligonucleotide drugs. In particular, powerful biological analysis tools are needed to study the quality control and in vivo pharmacokinetics of these drugs. This review summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of liquid chromatography, capillary gel electrophoresis, and hybrid enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in the detection of oligonucleotide drugs, providing some ideas for the research and quality control of such drugs.
