The course《Biomass materials and chemistry》 is a required element of the curriculum for students pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and Technology.Studying this subject presents a challenge due to the broad range of fundamental concepts,stringent theoretical requirements,and abstract technical skills that must be acquired.In colleges and universities,educators encounter the difficulty of effectively integrating ideological and political teachings with discipline-specific education in a face-to-face environment.This paper examines the teaching methods and strategies implemented in the reform of the Biomass Materials and Chemistry course and its incorporation with ideological and political education.The objective is to investigate how professional curriculum development can concurrently promote ideological and political education.Furthermore,it provides valuable insights and directions for the enhancement and advancement of ideological and political integration teaching across various academic fields.
