Studies on the Effect of Ellagic Acid on the Growth and Migration of Gastric Cancer Cells
Objective:To investigate the effects of ellagic acid on the growth and migration ability of gastric cancer cells BGC823.Methods:BGC823 cells were cultured in vitro, and cell viability was detected by MTT assay;cell morphology was observed by phase contrast microscopy;and cell migration ability was observed by cell scratch assay. Results:Ellagic acid significantly reduced the viability of BGC823 cells;after intervention with ellagic acid, the cells were wrinkled and the cellular debris increased;ellagic acid reduced the migration ability of BGC823 cells. Conclusion:Ellagic acid has a significant inhibitory effect on the growth and migration of BGC823 cells.
