Reflections on the Combination of Polymer Physics Theory Teaching and Production Practice—with the Case of"High Breaking Strength Nylon 66 Fiber Production"
The process of producing nylon 66(PA66)fiber involves the content of chapters on molecular weight and distribution,condensed structure,molecular thermal motion,viscoelasticity and rheology of polymers in the course of"Polymer Physics",which is suitable as a teaching case.This paper discusses how to combine the polymer physics knowledge involved in the production process of high-strength nylon 66 fiber with the course,focusing on the impact of different process parameters on structure and properties of PA66 fiber,and discussing how to further improve the breaking strength of PA66 fiber by optimizing the production process in conjunction with course content.The teaching case is helpful for students to understand and master the professional knowledge in"Polymer Physics"and improve the engineering practice ability and innovation ability.
