Determination of Dichloroacetic Acid,Trichloroacetic Acid and Chlorate in Drinking Water by Ion Chromatography
Objective:To establish an ion chromatography method for the determination of dichloroacetic acid, trichloroacetic acid and chlorate in drinking water.Methods:AS19 ion chromatographic column was used as the analytical column, the gradient concentration of potassium hydroxide eluent varied from 6 mmol/L to 40 mmol/L,the injection volume of 500 μL and the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.After pre-treatment with Ag/H column and filtration with 0.2 μm membrane, the water samples were analyzed by ion chromatography. Results:The linearity of dichloroacetic acid, trichloroacetic acid and chlorate was good in the range of 5~100 μg/L,r≥0.999.The limits of detection were respectively 0.97 μg/L,2.29 μg/L,0.75 μg/L.The recoveries ranged from 93.0%to 99.7%,with relative standard deviations≤1.74%.Conclusions:This method has the advantages of simple operation, high sensitivity and good accuracy, and is suitable for daily monitoring tasks.
