Study on Vibrational Mechanical of Liquid Spring for Phase Separation Behavior of PVME/PS Blends
In this study, the dynamic process of glass transition and phase separation of polymethyl vinyl ether/polystyrene(PVME/PS)binary blend was studied by means of self-made liquid spring vibration mechanics spectroscopy(RMS-L)technology.Samples with different mass ratios were selected to measure the rise and fall cycle of each sample from low temperature to high temperature. The results show that:(1)the RMS-L method can detect the glass transition and phase separation process of polymer blends with different mixing ratios in real time.(2)Based on the glass transition temperature of pure PVME and pure PS,samples with a component ratio of 5∶5 were selected from 11 groups of samples to be tested for analysis. It was found that the glass transition temperature of the samples changed with the change of components. When the temperature reaches a certain point, phase separation occurs.(3)When the sample was heated for the second time,it was found that the glass transition temperature and phase separation temperature of the blend system were changed, which indicated that the sample had been divided into a new phase after the first heating.(4)Combined with the mechanical spectrum results of samples of different proportions,it is found that the phase separation behavior of the blend system has a certain dependence on time and temperature, and the kinetic behavior of the phase separation of the polymer blend is analyzed through this law.
