Preparation and Electrocatalysis of PEDOT Conductive Polymer/Carbon Nanotubes/Pt Composite Materials
The precious metal platinum is dispersed on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/carbon nanotube(PEDOT/CNT)composite carriers in the article to improve the electrochemical performance, anti toxicity, and stability of platinum catalysts. The structure of the material was characterized using infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and the effect of polymer addition on the morphology of the composite was explored;Exploring the catalytic oxidation performance of composite materials in methanol and ethanol through cyclic voltammetry(CV)and chronoamperometry(CA).The results showed that compared with CNT/Pt catalyst,PEDOT/CNT/Pt catalyst has better electrocatalytic ability for methanol and ethanol, with an electrochemical active area of 168.19 m2·g-1.Compared with CNT/Pt catalyst(29.37 m2·g-1),its electrochemical activity was greatly improved; Its mass active current density in methanol and ethanol solutions is 1134 mA·mg-1 and 999 mA·mg-1,respectively,much higher than that of CNT/Pt catalysts(281 mA·mg-1 and 235 mA·mg-1).
