Separation of Phenolic Substances from Pyrolysis Oil Using Reactive Extraction Method
In this study, trioctyl phosphine oxide(TOPO)/cyclohexane was used to extract the phenols from a pyrolysis oil distillate boiling at 140~250℃through atmospheric distillation. In order to optimize the separation of phenols, the effects of TOPO dosage, cyclohexane dosage, extraction temperature and extraction time on the extraction equilibrium were investigated. The results showed that the optimized extraction conditions were the molar ratio of TOPO to phenols 2.5,the mass fractions of TOPO in extract phase 10%,extraction temperature 23℃,extraction time 10 min.Under the conditions, the extraction efficiencies of guaiacol,2-methoxy-4-methyl phenol,phenol,m-cresol and 4-ethyl phenol were 65%,75%,84%,83%and 90%,respectively.This indicated that the reaction extraction method based on TOPO had a good separation effect on phenols in pyrolysis oil fractions.
