Research on Continuous Process of DBT Synthesis in Microchannel Reactor
The traditional preparation process of dibutyl terephthalate(DBT)requires the use of catalysts, which is relatively complicated and has a high economic cost.In this study,a microchannel reactor was developed to directly prepare dibutyl terephthalate from terephthalic acid(PTA)and n-butanol at high temperature and high pressure without using catalyst.By investigating the reaction conditions, such as reaction temperature, reaction pressure, residence time, ratio of alcohol to acid, the optimum process conditions of esterification product yield were finally determined. The optimum technological conditions are as follows:reaction temperature is about 350℃,reaction pressure is 15 MPa,reaction residence time is 13 min,and the ratio of alcohol to acid is 20∶1.The primary esterification conversion of PTA reaches 99.13%,and the yield of target product DBT reaches 82.83%.The conversion rate of secondary esterification raw materials reached 99.40%,and the yield of target products reached 90.12%.
