Research on the Influencing Factors of Sludge Yield in Urban Sewage Treatment Plants in Coastal River Network Areas
This article takes four typical urban sewage treatment plants in the coastal river network area of Guangzhou as the research scope, and analyzes the effects of influent COD,BOD,SS concentration, and temperature on sludge yield. The research results indicate that:(1)the sludge yield of urban sewage treatment plants in coastal river network areas is relatively low,and the seasonal variation pattern of sludge yield is different for different sewage treatment processes. The CASS process has a higher sludge yield in summer, while the AAO process has a higher sludge yield in autumn;(2)The sludge yield is closely related to the influent water quality. For sewage plants with lower influent concentrations, the sludge yield shows a weak negative correlation with COD,BOD,and SS concentrations. On the contrary,it shows a positive correlation, and the higher the concentration, the stronger the correlation;(3)The temperature difference in the coastal river network area is not significant throughout the four seasons, and the impact of temperature on the sludge yield of sewage plants is relatively small.(4)By controlling the inflow water quantity and quality, optimizing operating parameters, and other measures,we aim to ensure the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the activated sludge treatment system, achieving sludge reduction.
