EA-IRMS Based Baby Formula and its Casein δ13C and δ15N Detection Method and Study on Differences in Different Production Sources
A method based on elemental analysis stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry(EA-IRMS)was established for simultaneous determination of infant formula and casein in it δ13C and δ15N method. The optimal determination conditions were obtained by optimizing the sample weight and CO2 dilution ratio of the sample. The results indicate that at a sample size of 600~700 μg.Under the condition of 8 times the CO2 dilution ratio of the sample δ13C and δ15N The standard deviation(SD)of δ15N is less than 0.3‰,and the difference between the standard quality control sample and the certificate is within the quality control requirements. The δ13C and δ15N of 50 batches of infant milk powder and casein from home and abroad were detected, and it was found that there were some differences in δ13C of infant milk powder and casein from different regions, while δ15N showed a small difference. These characteristics can provide a reference for determining the source of infant milk powder.
