Exploring the Integration of New Drug Development Cases and Curriculum Civics in the Teaching of Industrial Pharmacy
The traditional theoretical teaching of Industrial Pharmacy mainly inculcates students with knowledge, which is insufficient to inspire them, and is easy to develop passive and test-taking learning habits, which seriously limits students'ability to discover, analyse and solve problems, and also affects the cultivation of innovative consciousness and innovative ability. The integration of innovative drug development into Civics in the theoretical teaching of Industrial Pharmacy is to take the key links of new drug development as the problem chain orientation(PCBL),integrate the series of problems related to drug development such as pre-prescription research, route of administration and dosage form selection, optimal design of drug formulation prescription, pharmacodynamics and toxicology, and clinical research, and to run the appropriate course Civics content through each key process, which not only allows students to Combine the theoretical knowledge in Industrial Pharmacy with innovative drug research and development, effectively improve students'learning interest and independent learning ability, and also cultivate students'values, sense of mission,as well as the spirit of scientific exploration and innovation ability through the Civics.Through practice, most of the students can benefit from seven aspects, including the improvement of literature review and independent learning ability, the enlightenment of knowledge of new drug development, the benefit of the inspiration of course Civics, the degree of stimulation of learning interest, the enhancement of the ability of analysing and problem solving, the degree of usefulness to future work, and the influence of the enthusiasm of studying and researching. It shows that the integration of new drug development cases with course ideology during the theoretical lectures of industrial pharmacy can help to cultivate students'comprehensive abilities such as learning interest, independent thinking, inquiry and innovation, and knowledge integration.
