Advances in Hydrogen Production via Hydrolysis of Light Metal-Based Materials
Hydrogen production through the hydrolysis of light metal-based materials is an environmentally friendly and effective technology that has garnered significant research attention in recent years.This process involves the reaction of metal-based materials with water to produce hydrogen,offering advantages such as high hydrogen storage density and mild reaction conditions.By using light metal-based materials like aluminum and magnesium as catalysts,this technology initiates hydrolysis reactions in water to produce hydrogen as an energy source.Substantial progress has been made in areas such as material selection,reaction mechanisms,and catalytic activity,laying a strong foundation for the advancement of hydrogen production through the hydrolysis of light metal-based materials.However,challenges persist,including issues related to material stability and reaction rates that need urgent attention.Therefore,future research efforts should focus on improving the material performance,optimizing reaction conditions,and advancing the further development and application of hydrogen production through the hydrolysis of light metal-based materials.
