Research Overview of N-containing Heterocyclic Cocrystal Former of Flavonoids
Flavonoids are a type of natural compounds that have been widely studied and have a wide range of pharmacological effects. However, their poor water solubility and low bioavailability limit their clinical application.Pharmaceutical cocrystals refer to a new type of crystal formed by active pharmaceutical ingredients(APIs)and cocrystal formers(CCFs)under the action of non-covalent bonds such as hydrogen bonds, which can improve the physical and chemical properties of drugs without changing the chemical structure.Due to the fact that N atoms in the N-heterocycle can participate in the formation of hydrogen bonds, this article will classify and review the CCFs involved in flavonoid cocrystals in recent years based on the structure of N-heterocycles,providing references for further research on flavonoid cocrystals.
