Study on the Screening of Soil Stabilizer for a Lead Contaminated Soil Off-site Remediation Project
This study conducted a small-scale stabilization remediation experiment on alkaline lead contaminated soil of a land parcel. The results showed that both phosphate containing compound reagent A and phosphate containing compound reagent B were suitable for the stabilization remediation of contaminated soil in this project. When applied alone, the remediation efficiency of compound reagent B was higher than that of compound reagent A.The compound adding of a small amount of low concentration citric acid could improve the stabilization remediation efficiency of compound reagent A.Taking into account the cost of the two stabilizers and the results of this experiment,it was recommended to use compound reagent A and a small amount of low concentration citric acid as an improved composite stabilizer for this project. In addition, the experimental results also indicated that for lead contaminated soil with high soil pH,the stabilization remediation effect of slightly acidic phosphate containing stabilizers might be better than that of slightly alkaline phosphate containing stabilizers.
