Investigation and Risk Assessment of Soil Pollution Status of a Closed Lead-zinc Smelter Plot in Guizhou
Heavy metals are common pollutants in the soil of non-ferrous metal smelting plots, which are difficult to migrate, difficult to be degraded, and harmful in the soil environment. In this paper,a closed lead-zinc smelter plot in Guizhou Province was taken as the research object to carry out the environmental investigation and risk assessment of the plot. The results showed that the heavy metals arsenic, lead, vanadium, zinc, cadmium, manganese, antimony and mercury in the soil of the plot exceeded the standard to varying degrees. The risk assessment showed that the three heavy metals of arsenic, vanadium and cadmium in the plot had both carcinogenic risk and non-carcinogenic risk(carcinogenic risk exceeded 1.00E-6 and hazard quotient exceeded 1.0),while zinc, manganese, antimony and mercury did not pose a poseacarcinogenic risk to human body, but only had non-carcinogenic hazard quotient.
