Experimental Teaching Design of Pharmaceutics Integrated with Scientific Research:Preparation and Characterization of Dioscin PLGA Nanoparticles
To apply advanced nanotechnology to pharmaceutical science,a pharmaceutics experimental course was designed to prepare dioscin PLGA nanoparticles by nano precipitation method. The physicochemical properties of PLGA nanoparticles were characterized by dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy. The drug loading and encapsulation efficiency of dioscin in PLGA nanoparticles was determined by ultrafiltration centrifugation. This experiment can train undergraduates to master the ability to prepare novel formulations with cutting-edge nanotechnology, familiarize them with the characterization methods of novel nanoparticles, and further enable students to understand the application of new nanotechnology in pharmaceutical science, thereby enhancing their practical ability and scientific literacy in using novel nanoparticle-based formulation technology.
