Teaching Reform and Practice of Comprehensive Experiments in Inorganic Chemistry:Synthesis and Characterization of Hydrotalcite
It aims at improving and practice the teaching of the existing inorganic chemistry comprehensive experiment"Synthesis of Magnesium Aluminum Hydrotalcite".The improvement lies in the following three points:firstly, using co precipitation method instead of urea method to prepare hydrotalcite, which is simple to operate and can better control the pH value of the solution, facilitating the formation of stable crystal forms;secondly, design to introduce different metal cations into the laminates to explore the influence of divalent cations on the morphology and structure of hydrotalcite, promoting students'understanding and integration of knowledge;thirdly, the use of X-ray single crystal diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy was expanded to analyze the crystal structure, functional groups, and morphology of hydrotalcite, thereby enhancing students'ability to analyze and process data. The improved teaching experiment has shortened the reaction time, and the phenomenon is obvious. It has expanded students'horizons at the forefront of science, which is conducive to cultivating their innovative thinking ability, enhancing their scientific literacy, and more in line with undergraduate experimental teaching.
