Application of Stripping Ammonia Removal in the Treatment of Leachate from Landfill Sites
The stripping ammonia removal system was utilized to remove and recover the high concentration of ammonia nitrogen in the leachate from landfill sites, achieving good and stable operation results without adding alkali. The effluent could directly enter the MBR biochemical system for further treatment. The operation data of the engineering system for 15 days showed that the influent volume was 188 m3/d~252 m3/d,and the effluent volume was 215 m3/d~285 m3/d;the influent ammonia nitrogen concentration was 2250 mg/L~2520 mg/L,and the effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration was 335 mg/L~486 mg/L;the ammonia water production was 6.1 m3/d~8.4 m3/d,and the ammonia water concentration was 5.68%~6.12%;the ammonia nitrogen removal rate was 76.90%~83.97%,and the ammonia nitrogen recovery rate was 72.96%~83.09%.The ammonia gas produced in the stripping ammonia removal tower could be efficiently recovered, and the concentration of the produced ammonia water could be freely adjusted within a certain range. The direct operation cost per ton of water of the system was 9.92 yuan, which was much lower than the cost of adding a composite carbon source to the leachate to adjust the carbon-nitrogen ratio.
