Integrating Frontier Scientific Research Achievements into Undergraduate Teaching of Inorganic Synthetic Chemistry Experiment:A Case Study of the Synthesis of Ir/TiC and Its Application in Oxygen Evolution
The experiment of inorganic chemistry is one of the key training links for undergraduates mastering the theoretical knowledge of inorganic chemistry, which can cultivate students'divergent thinking and dialectical materialism world view through experimentation. In view of the wide application of nano-inorganic materials in the field of new energy,a typical inorganic material synthesis teaching content is taken as an example to design a carbon-thermal reduction method and liquid phase reduction method to synthesize TiC materials, and as a carrier supported Ir in the electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction application. The crystal shape and morphology of the catalyst were characterized by X-ray powder diffractometer and transmission electron microscopy, and then the performance of the catalyst was evaluated by electrochemical workstation and electrolyzer. This experiment plays a significant role in exercising students'ability to prepare inorganic materials, understanding the scientific frontier, and improving scientific literacy.
