Materials science is one of the professional courses in the field of materials science and engineering,mainly studying the composition,structure,properties,processes,and usage performance of materials.The course of materials science covers a wide range of content and is difficult to teach.Therefore,teachers should carefully prepare teaching materials and transform their methods and concepts of education during the classroom teaching process.This article describes methods to improve the quality of teaching this course,including clarifying teaching objectives,integrating course content,establishing a diversified teaching model of"ecture+research achievements presentation+laboratory teaching",and constructing a flexible assessment system.
