Study on the Degradability of Hydrocarbon-degrading Bacteria Immobilized by Chitosan
A strain of petroleum hydrocarbon degrading bacteria HYHG-06 was selected as the research object in this study.Chitosan as immobilized carrier material and glutaraldehyde as crosslinking agent was selected to prepare chitosan immobilized petroleum hydrocarbon degrading bacteria by crosslinking reaction. The effects of four factors on the degradability of immobilized bacteria were explored by changing the temperature, initial pH value, salinity and petroleum hydrocarbon concentration of the degradation environment. The results showed that the degradability of immobilized bacteria was better than that of free bacteria.Under the conditions of 30℃temperature,pH 8.0,salinity 3.5%and petroleum hydrocarbon concentration 1.5%,the petroleum hydrocarbon degradation rate of immobilized bacteria was as high as 86.62%.This can develop high efficient oil elimination products and provide an efficient and feasible biochemical treatment method for offshore oil pollution.
