Experimental Study on Recovery of Rare Earth from Molten Salt Electrolytic Slag
Rare earth, known as"industrial monosodium glutamate",is widely used in electronics, metallurgy and other fields because of its efficient optical, electrical, magnetic and other properties, and is also regarded as one of the important strategic resources in the world. At present, one of the industrial production methods of rare earth smelting is molten salt electrolysis method,in which various impurities in rare earth crude metals accumulate in the electrolytic system and eventually appear in the form of insoluble matter, that is,rare earth molten salt electrolytic slag.If the rare earth metals in the rare earth molten salt electrolytic slag can be effectively recovered,it is not only in line with the resource conversion of solid waste in the"three chemical"principle, but also conducive to the construction of the national"waste free city".In this paper, the effects of roasting temperature, roasting time, washing temperature, washing time and leaching temperature of three kinds of calcination agents(sodium silicate, sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide)on the leaching rate of rare earth and impurity fluoride ion removal rate were investigated. The results showed that the best roasting temperature was 700℃,the best roasting time was 1.5 h,the best washing temperature was 40℃,the best washing time was 1.5 h,and the best leaching temperature was 80℃,the best leaching time was 2 h.
