Research Progress on Detection Methods of Tetrahydrocannabinol
Tetrahydrocannabinol(THC),one of the most common cannabinoids,is the main psychoactive substance in the cannabis plant.Industrial hemp is clearly defined in Europe and the United States, where cannabis is categorized according to its THC content as hemp-type(THC<0.3%),middle-type(0.3%<THC<0.5%)and drug-type(THC>0.3%).The cannabinoid content varies in different parts of the cannabis plant, and the THC content produced during extraction is often higher than 0.3%.Therefore,it is important to pay attention to the THC content for the monitoring and control of cannabis drugs. In this paper, the different detection methods for THC in industrial hemp are organized and summarized, which is useful for research related to cannabinoids such as THC and hemp breeding.
