Studies on the Chemical Constituents of Sponge Callyspongia fallax from South China Sea
Studies on the chemical constituents of sponge Callyspongia fallax from south China sea.The crude extract of sponges with 95%ethanol was separated and purified by several chromatographic separation technology. The structure of the compounds was identified by the means of NMR and MS as well as by comparison with the data reported in literature.Seven compounds were isolated from the sponge Callyspongia fallax. Those compounds were identified as(2S,3R,4E)-N-palmitoyl-octadecasphinga-4-ene(1),3,6-diphenylmethylpiperazine-2,5-dione(2),β-cholesterol(3),thymine(4),uridine(5),2'-deoxyuridine(6)and 2'-deoxythymidine(7).The biological activity was evaluated by MTT method.None of which exhibited significant cytotoxic activity.Compounds 1 and 2 were first isolated from this genus sponge. The implementation of this work has enriched the diversity of compounds in this genus sponge.
