Application of Thermal Radiation Simulation Calculation in the Upgrading of Elevated Flare
The calculation of thermal radiation intensity is of great guiding significance for the design of elevated flares, and it is an important reference for the safety distance of surrounding devices and flare height setting. In order to study the application of thermal radiation simulation calculations in the upgrading and transformation of elevated torches, taking the elevated flare reconstruction project of a green transformation and development project of a factory as an example, based on Flaresim software, the flame, thermal radiation, and temperature interactions between the two sets of elevated flares in a real project are calculated and analyzed to guide the refined design of the elevated flares. The results show that the design emission of the new flare has no impact on the original flare, and there is no need to renovate the original flare. However, the design emission of the original flare has a greater influence on the new flare. The top twenty meters of the new flare tower need to be upgraded or set up with fire protection measures, and the new flare should be designed to be detachable to facilitate maintenance. Therefore, the Flaresim software can provide a basis for upgrading and maintaining the overhead flares system.
