Study on Photocatalytic Degradation of Tetracycline Wastewater by Diatomite/BiOBr
The diatomite(DT)/BiOBr composite photocatalyst was successfully prepared by a simple solution heat method, and its morphology and composition were characterized. The performance and stability of composite photocatalyst for degradation of tetracycline in wastewater were tested. The results show that BiOBr nanosheets are uniformly dispersed on the surface of diatomite with high purity and good crystallinity.DT/BiOBr-1 had the best photocatalytic performance, and the efficiency of tetracycline degradation reached 95.1%within 100 min,and the catalytic activity remained high after repeated use for 4 times. The active species in photocatalytic degradation are mainly hydroxyl radicals and photogenerated holes, while superoxide radicals also play a certain role.
