As the mainstream technology for depth processing of water treatment plant nowadays,the O3-biological activated carbon process combines ozone oxidation and activated carbon adsorption and degradation,which has advantages such as green,efficient,and good treatment effect.This article discussed the key influencing factors of O3-BAC process,including ozone oxidation by-products and physicochemical properties of activated carbon,reviewed process of ozone oxidation of organic pollutants,the impact of oxidation by-products on the adsorption and biodegradation of activated carbon,and the effects of physical and chemical properties such as pore structure,functional groups,π electron donors and acceptor,and surface charges on the adsorption and biodegradation process of activated carbon,provided reasonable suggestions for the design of the O3-BAC process.
