Application of Mass Spectrometry in the Discovery Stage of Innovative Small Molecular Chemical Drugs
As an analytical technology for rapid,sensitive and accurate detection of material components,mass spectrometry plays an intensely significant role in the discovery stage of innovative small molecule chemical drugs.The scope of application includes synthesis reaction monitoring,the structure confirmation of target molecules,identification of related substances,isomer detection,residual solvent detection,metal impurity detection,in vivo and in vitro pharmacokinetics,determination of physical and chemical parameters,and CYP450 enzyme inhibition.This article reviews the various applications of various mass spectrometry technologies in the discovery stage of chemical small molecule innovative drugs,which can provide a reference for pharmaceutical analytical chemists to establish a key analysis technology platform.
