Effect of Age on NAD(P)H Levels around the Eyes and Evaluation of Anti-wrinkle Efficacy of an Eye Cream
A group of subjects of different ages were recruited to analyze the correlation between the NAD(P)H level around the eyes and age,skin color and elastic parameter R2 by using non-invasive skin instrument detection method.Another group of subjects was recruited to evaluate the anti-wrinkle effect on the eyes using an eye cream.The results showed that with the increase of age,the level of NAD(P)H in the granular layer cells around the eyes decreased,the rating of crow's feet increased,the R2 value of skin elasticity decreased,the skin color deepened,and the ITA°value of skin decreased.There was a correlation between age,skin color,elasticity,and the level of NAD(P)H.Fifteen subjects used the eye cream for 28 days and showed an increase in NAD(P)H levels around the eyes,an increase in skin elasticity R2 values,a decrease in crow's feet ratings,and an increase in the harmonic strength of the collagen fibers,compared to before the product was used.The product had an anti-wrinkle effect.
