Removal of Nitrogen and Phosphorus in Eutrophic Water by Four Aquatic Plants
In order to explore the remediation effect of four aquatic plants on the eutrophic water,Eichhornia crassipes,Pistia stratiotes,Myriophyllum verticillatum, and Spirodela polyrrhiza, were used as research objects to conduct outdoor static simulation experiments.Total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)were detected regularly during the culture period of aquaculture in the eutrophic water. The results showed that the final removal rates of total nitrogen by E.crassipes,P.stratiotes,M.verticillatum,and S.polyrrhiza were 74.2%,72.0%,87.1%and 56.9%,and the final removal rate of total phosphorus were 92%,95%,84.7%,55.3%,respectively.It can be seen that E.crassipes,P.stratiotes,M.verticillatum had strong removal effects on TN and TP,and could be used as the preferred plant species in the remediation of eutrophic water.Among them,M.verticillatum had the highest absorption of TN and P.stratiotes had the highest absorption of TP.
