The Effect of Processing Auxiliary on PVC Cable Materials National Standard Performance Test Results
In this study, processing additives with different gradient amounts(chlorinated paraffin, nano calcium carbonate, chlorinated polyethylene)were added to the PVC cable particle system and PVC cable material samples were prepared.Use multiple testing and characterization methods to study the effects of the aforementioned additives on the thermal stability, mechanical properties, flame retardancy, appearance, and processing properties of PVC cable materials. The results showed that the addition of 13 parts of chlorinated paraffin reduced the thermal stability time by 52.9%,the number of low-temperature impact fractures roots decreased from 19 to 8,and the oxygen index increased from 28 to 29.1;introducing 10 portions of nano calcium carbonate reduced the number of low-temperature impact fractures roots from 5 to 3,increased tensile strength by 15.5%,significantly improved product appearance, and improved product processing performance; The addition of chlorinated polyethylene from 5 to 10 parts reduced the low-temperature impact fractures number of the composite material from 15 to 10,and the low-temperature impact fracture number decreased by 33%,indicating a significant improvement in impact resistance.
