Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier(LOHC)technology has become an important research direction in the field of hydrogen energy storage and transportation due to its high efficiency and safety.This paper reviews the major research progress in LOHC technology,focusing on the characteristics of aromatic and heterocyclic compounds as hydrogen storage media and the catalytic mechanism of their dehydrogenation reactions.The article analyzes the selection of active components of dehydrogenation catalysts,the role of catalyst supports,and the optimization of LOHC processes through the reactor design.The paper points out that future research should focus on developing more efficient and low-cost catalysts and optimizing reactor design to promote the commercial application of LOHC technology,supporting the development of the hydrogen energy.
