To establish a HPLC method for determination of tetrandrine in cosmetics and determine the content of tetrandrine in different products.Analyses were performed on phenomenex Luna®C18(2)(250 mm×4.6 mm,5µm)column with methanol and 0.2%triethylamine water solution, which was used as mobile phases, with a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min.The detection wave length was 280 nm,column temperature was 30℃.Results showed that the linear relationship was good in the range of 0.024 μg~0.486 μg(R2=0.9996).The average recovery of liquid samples was 98.96%and the RSD was 1.37%(n=9).The average recovery of cream samples was 101.03%and the RSD was 1.87%(n=9).The average recovery of emulsion samples was 101.35%and the RSD was 1.91%(n=9).The method is simple and accurate, and can be used for the determination and quality control of tetrandrine in cosmetics.
