Objective:To isolate and identify chemical components of the petroleum ether extracted part from the rhizoma of Polygonum kingianum var.grandiflorum,a plant of the Liliaceae.Method:The dried rhizoma of Polygonum kingianum var.grandiflorum were extracted and partitioned to yield the petroleum ether extracted fraction, and it was subjected to silica gel and octadecylsilyl column chromatography, and then separated by high performance liquid chromatography to yield compounds, which were identified by spectral analysis of nuclear magnetic resonance spectra.Result:Six compounds were obtained and identified as Methylophiopogonanone B(1),Striatoliode(2),Pentadecanoic acid(3),Myristic acid(4),Nonanoic acid(5)and Ethyl tridecanoate(6).Conclusion:Compounds 1~6 were for the first time from the titled plant.
