Extraction of Essential Oil from Osmanthus Fragrans and Preparation of Perfume:A Recommended Comprehensive Chemical Experiment
The setup,teaching mode and student evaluation system of organic chemistry experiments are crucial for the cultivation of comprehensive experimental skills and innovative thinking,as well as the initiation of interest and exploration enthusiasm of undergraduate students.Extraction of essential oil from osmanthus fragrans and preparation of perfume is taken as the experimental teaching reform.The experiment is green and interesting,and it closely combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications.This would arouse students'interest,cultivate their experimental ability,while deepen their understanding of chemistry as an applied science.During the experiment,a half-open teaching model and a comprehensive evaluation system are adopted,resulting in an enhanced active learning enthusiasm of students and a better atmosphere in laboratory,and is conducive to the cultivation of independent and innovative thinking of students.
