Research Progress on Contamination and Treatment Technologies of Microplastics in Aquatic Environment
In recent years, emerging contaminants have become an important issue facing global ecosystems, and microplastic pollution is one of the research hotspots.Microplastic pollution in aquatic environments poses great harm to aquatic organisms and human health, and it is prone to adsorbing other harmful substances during their migration and transformation processes, resulting in composite pollution. This paper comprehensively elaborates the sources, toxic effects, and pollution status of microplastics in aquatic environment, analyzes the characteristics and applicability of five treatment technologies, including coagulation, adsorption, membrane technology, advanced oxidation and biodegradation, and provides suggestions and prospects for future research on microplastics.
