Carbon Emission Analysis of the Urban Sewage Treatment
The greenhouse gas emissions from a certain sewage treatment plant were divided into direct emissions and indirect emissions.Carbon emissions in the three stages of sewage treatment, sludge treatment, and sludge disposal were calculated with the methods of actual measurement and emission factor.Carbon reduction potential and cost were analyzed then. The result showed that the carbon emissions of this sewage treatment plant were 3137.58 tons, carbon compensation was 149.60 tons, and net emissions were2987.98 tons.Electricity consumption is the largest source of carbon emissions in this project.Specifically,zero-carbon electricity consumption can be achieved through distributed photovoltaics, purchase of green electricity or purchase of green certificates. The cost of kitchen co-anaerobic digestion&land use and aerobic composting&land use is relatively close, and far lower than the cost of incineration&building materials utilization.
