Looking Back and Reflecting:Twenty Years of International Teacher Education Research
In the context of globalization,teacher education has become a hot research area of concern for governments and educators around the world.To comprehensively showcase the research landscape of international teacher education,this article conducts bibliometric analysis on researchers,research institutions,countries,published journals,cited literature,and keywords in the field of international teacher education.Research has found that the field of international teacher education has formed a core author team with high contribution and influence.International academic journals on teacher education with high contribution and influence focus on research topics such as social justice,education reform policies,teacher research at different career stages,teacher competency research,and teacher learning research.While rationally interpreting the research achievements of international teacher education,comparing and reflecting on the research situation of teacher education in China,suggestions are proposed to strengthen the construction of teacher education research teams,accelerate the construction of teacher education research platforms,and attach importance to research on teacher education with Chinese characteristics.
