The Development,Dilemma andStrategies of NormalUniversity Informatization Organizations and Functions in the Background of Digital Transformation
Implementing a digital strategy in education is a crucial step towards building a high-quality education system and realizing the goal of becoming an education powerhouse.For universities to achieve comprehensive digital transformation in education,the coordination and promotion of information management departments are essential.This article employs text mining methods to analyze the evolution of the names and functions of information management departments in two"Double World-Class"universities and eight"Double World-Class"discipline construction normal universities over the past three decades.The analysis reveals an evolutionary trend in functional development,progressing from non-existence to existence,from existence to application,from application to governance,and from governance to strength.Furthermore,it summarizes the challenges faced in the comprehensive digital transformation of education.Based on these findings,four recommendations are proposed for information management departments in normal universities to advance digital transformation:strengthen functions,connect university-wide operations,establish a multidisciplinary operational team,and foster an application ecosystem.The aim is to provide important references and decision-making suggestions for information management departments in China's normal universities to promote the comprehensive digital transformation of higher education.
