Study on Deformation Response of Shield Cutting Through Existing Bridge Piles
Shield cutting through the existing concrete pile foundations can easily induce the deformation of ex-isting structures, and threatening the structural safety. To find out the impact of shield cutting on existing structures, this paper relies on the Suzhou Metro Line 8 shield cutting through reinforced concrete bridge pile project. The field measurements and numerical simulations were conducted to analyze the mechanical response of shield cutting through reinforced concrete bridge piles.Deformation rules of bridge deck and piers during concrete bridge piling. The results show that:the maximum uplift value of the bridge deck is 4.6 mm,the maximum settlement is 7.2 mm,which meets the specification requirements; After the double-line tunnel cutting was completed, the pier located above the left-line leading cutting position has the largest settlement. The horizontal displacements caused by the tunnel structure will cancel each other out, reducing the impact of the final horizontal deformation.Over-all,the horizontal displacement caused by the excavation of the left line is slightly more than that of the right line. The existing excavation parameters can effectively control the structural deformation caused by cutting and crossing construction, and can provide reference for following projects.
